We have an immediate opening for Business Analyst, Kochi.

Experience Required: 4–6 Years (minimum 3 years with strong marine domain exposure)

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS

Experience in requirement gathering techniques, tools, and methodologies.
Knowledge of documentation standards and business process modelling tools.
Proven experience in preparing Software Requirement Specification (SRS) documents.
Experience in creating user stories, product backlogs, sprint backlogs, and conducting backlog grooming sessions.
Experience in managing and negotiating Change Requests (CRs).
Strong experience in the Marine domain (mandatory).
Hands-on experience with wireframing and wireframing tools.
Knowledge of project management and collaboration tools, including JIRA and Azure Boards.
Basic understanding of database systems.
Experience or exposure to AI-related projects and business applications will be an added advantage.
Experience in Chemical Tanker operations, processes, and related maritime systems will be highly preferred.
SOFT SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to quickly understand new business domains and technical applications.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile frameworks.
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience managing requirements and communications with overseas or cross-cultural client teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with overseas clients and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Execute responsibilities with a clear understanding of the project and product vision, business objectives, and priorities.
Translate high-level business and product requirements into detailed features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
Represent stakeholders, end users, and customers by clarifying requirements, answering questions, and providing functional direction to the project team.
Elaborate user stories and requirements to ensure development readiness.
Participate in project planning, sprint planning, review and demo sessions, and retrospective meetings.
Support change request analysis, impact assessment, and prioritisation.
Maintain clear scope boundaries between production support issues and change requests or enhancements, coordinating with the delivery and support teams accordingly.
Support UAT planning, test scenario preparation, and stakeholder coordination during acceptance testing phases.
Collaborate with development, QA, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Good experience in the Marine domain is a must.
Experience working and communicating with overseas clients.
Experience in a BA-driven development environment, where the BA owns requirements end-to-end and serves as the sole interface between client stakeholders and the development team, will be an added advantage.
Candidates with experience in AI-related initiatives and strong knowledge of Chemical Tanker operations will be given preference.
