Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QC Lead to lead our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing software testing activities while ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The QC Lead will mentor QA engineers, establish testing standards, improve testing processes, and collaborate closely with Development, Product, and Project Management teams to ensure product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead and manage the Quality Control team.
Assign testing activities based on project priorities.
Mentor and guide QA Engineers and Senior QA Engineers.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Identify training needs and support team development.
Test Planning & Strategy
Prepare Test Strategy and Test Plans for projects.
Estimate testing efforts and resource requirements.
Define testing scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Review testing schedules with project stakeholders.
Quality Assurance Activities
Review Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and User Stories.
Ensure complete test coverage.
Create and review Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Test Data.
Validate software against business requirements.
Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, System, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing support.
Defect Management
Track and manage defects using defect tracking tools.
Conduct defect triage meetings.
Work with developers to resolve issues.
Verify fixes before release.
Monitor defect leakage and root cause analysis.
Automation
Identify opportunities for test automation.
Review automation scripts developed by QA Engineers.
Work with Automation Engineers to improve regression coverage.
Promote automation best practices.
Process Improvement
Improve QA processes and methodologies.
Develop QA standards and SOPs.
Monitor QA KPIs and quality metrics.
Ensure compliance with ISO, CMMI, or internal quality standards.
Participate in internal quality audits.
Release Management Support
Participate in Sprint Planning.
Attend Daily Scrum meetings.
Support Go-Live activities.
Perform Release Validation Testing.
Ensure production readiness.
Documentation
Prepare Test Reports.
Weekly QA Status Reports.
Release Readiness Reports.
Quality Metrics Dashboard.
Defect Summary Reports.
Test Closure Reports.
Stakeholder Communication
Coordinate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers.
Present QA status during project meetings.
Escalate quality risks proactively.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6–10 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Control.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a QA/QC team.
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
